  • Current Length: 33.25"

  • Mathematics: Ben can now count forward and backwards from 10 with prompting and encouragement from his parents. He's often not too clear on whether he should repeat the number he's working on or move on to the next one.
  • Reading: Ben still can't read, but he has memorized pretty much all of the books we've read to him. Even books that he hasn't touched in weeks are always at the tip of his tongue.

These were all scanned on Ben's Dad's new Astra 610S scanner. He's still working out the details so be patient if these scans aren't perfect.

It's hard to find a picture of Ben where he's not smiling. The reason, of course, is that we never take pictures of Ben when he's screaming and crying. Seriously though, Ben is a very happy kid which is fine with us.

Ben is crazy about anything with a steering wheel. Here we've captured him at the wheel of a Fire Truck at the San Jose Children's Discovery Museum and climbing into the cockpit of his Formula one Fischer-Price special.

See, he does get fresh air. Here, our boy takes a break at the park after a grueling workout. Note the caked mud on the soles of his sneakers.

Almost anything is possible with Ben as long he is constantly being read to. I know, I know, the boy should get out and get some fresh air. It's not healthy for hims to sit inside and read all the time.

I'm sure future generations will discover that reading to your child is the absolute worst thing you can do, but for now, we pretty much read to him whenever he wants.

And finally, a parting shot of our boy as he closes out the day in the tubby. Take care Ben Fans.
